The details over his two tests and FedEx closures and arbitration and rat-a-tat-tat by the union and league will be forgotten just as Mark Prior’s inability to get anybody out and Gonzalez’s inability to perform a routine double play and Farnsworth giving up the ghost. When the dust settles in a few years all that will be remembered is that Braun was “falsely accused” of doping; it doesn’t matter if that is a correct memory or not, that’s how our kids are going to learn about the 2011 NL MVP. Is that fair? No. Is that how it should be? No, but this seems like a very complicated issue that time will eventually wash away.

In other news, how ’bout ‘dem Brewers?
